Installing add-ons in MSFS 2020

How to install add-ons via Community folder, Marketplace, and developer installers.

Open MSFS 2020 → Settings → General → enable DevMode to see your Community path.
Typical path: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_…\LocalCache\Packages\Community
Download the archive or installer from your X-Shop email after purchase.
For .zip: extract into Community so the package folder contains manifest.json (no zip-in-zip nesting).
For .exe: run as administrator and select your sim folder.
Fully quit MSFS (including system tray) and relaunch.
Open My Library → Community — the package should show without errors.
If missing, check Content Manager and enable the package manually.
